BIKRAM METHOD
Hot yoga is a vigorous form of yoga performed in a studio that is heated to 105 F (40 C) and has a 40% humidity. The formal name for hot yoga is “Bikram Yoga.”
What is Hot Yoga?
Bikram yoga is a 90-minute program that consists of a series of 26 postures. The postures require lengthy, forceful and well-controlled contractions of all major muscle groups. The demanding nature of the poses and the heat are designed to raise your heart rate and tire your muscles.

Instructors are called upon from surrounding gyms and are available for private training. If you are interested for Muay Thai training, bookings need to be made at least a day in advance. Weight Loss & Total Fitness retreats include Muay Thai training.

BEACH WORKOUTS

There’s a radically simple way to burn more calories per step without inching up your incline or pushing your pace: Walking or running on the sand! (and there’s a lot of sand in Phuket Island).
The payoff: Do a workout on the sand and you burn up to 50 percent more calories per minute than if you do the same routine on pavement or grass. Plus, because sand soaks up energy, it also reduces stress on your joints.
The impact is about four times lower on sand than on firmer surfaces, which can mean much less post-workout inflammation and soreness. This remains true even as you increase your exercise intensity. The bonus is that you’ll bounce back faster after a tough session — and be ready to hit the beach for your next round of fresh-air fun.
